The selected applicant will become part of Cyber Defense Solutions' support of the NEO Horizon program, formerly called United States Computer Emergency Readiness (US-CERT), responsible for analyzing and reducing cyber threats and vulnerabilities, disseminating cyber threat warning information, and coordinating incident response activities. NEO Horizon provides advanced network and digital media analysis expertise and defends against malicious activity targeting networks within the United States and abroad.

 

Position Criteria

Clearance Level: TS with SCI eligibility (Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. CDS will sponsor)

Position Description

As a Technical Writer/Technical Editor, you will function as a communications and information specialist, preparing material for publications and other media internally and externally; gather information; write and edit technical, promotional and general interest materials; and coordinate publications and other collateral material using both print and electronic media including the web and desktop publishing software to draft, edit, and lay out material for distribution. You will have the responsibility for final reviews of proposed publications for style, design, layout, and editorial aspects before government approval

Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, you should have the following background, credentials, and knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree
  • 5 years of directly related experience as a Technical Writer 
  • Experience using Sharepoint and Developer
  • Experience with 508 Remediation
  • Experience with Style Guide. Styles and Templates
  • Strong editing experience
